WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT DECEMBER 25th?

Most people these days accept that no one really knows the exact date of the birth of Jesus. Those who have done their homework know it was very likely to have been some time in 2 BC, and not on December 25th. Still, people say he was born on December 25th. Why? It's all very simple if you look to the stars. How appropriate.

Around the 25th of December is the winter solstice, the return of the sun. Let me explain why this is a big deal.

Jesus, according to popular belief was born on the 25th of December, born of a virgin. There was a star in the east that led "the three kings" to where he was.

So how about those wise men? Looking to the stars you can see that the star "Sirius" which is the brightest star at this time, at winter solstice. It aligns with the three stars of Orion's Belt. They seem to be following the star Sirius. The three stars of Orion's Belt have always been called "The Three Kings". All of these stars point to the spot where, at the end of winter the sun is at it's lowest in the sky and, on December 21st actually appears to stop moving for three days. The sun is then near the constellation of The Southern Cross (crux) and when it starts to go back it is "resurrected" and "born again" and the days start to get longer. The sun "rises" on December 25th.

Born of a virgin (Virgo), died on "the cross" (The Southern Cross), is dead for three days and resurrected. Sound familiar? It is the return of the light, the SUN, not the son.

How about Mary the virgin? Simple. She is represented by the constellation of Virgo which means virgin. This is represented by a sheaf of wheat, also translated as "House of Bread" which translates to Bethlehem... a place in the sky, not on earth. Remember, these are constellations.

There's the whole story taking place in a few days at the end of winter. Why such a big deal?

Jesus was not alone using this story by the way, it's been happening for about 60,000 years or longer for all we know. Same story, same circumstances. Jesus was born on December 25th (popular belief) born of a virgin, was a healer, teacher at the age of 12, had many names like the lamb of god, the truth, the light, etc. You've heard them before. There was a star in the east, there were three wise men. In his life he was crucified and died and was resurrected after three days.

So what about these other guys? Read this. I was not surprised.

Horus of Egypt (3000 BC) Born December 25th of a virgin, there was a star in the east, three kings, teacher at 12, baptized and started a ministry at the age of 30, he had 12 disciples, performed miracles, known as the lamb of god, the truth, the light, etc. He was crucified, dead three days and resurrected. (are you seeing a pattern here?)
Here are some others in the history of the world who were born under the SAME circumstances....

Attis of Greece (1200 BC)
Krishna of India (900 BC)
Dionysus of Greece (500 BC)

It's written in the stars people. Jesus is merely the most recent in a long line of solstice babies.

So, to all my Pagan friends, have a wonderful solstice.

To everyone else... Merry Christmas. ;)
